We are looking forward in welcoming this year’s players and watching them compete at The Biltmore Golf Course and so excited that they too will soon be part of our tournament history.”
The Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship is one of 15 athletic, artistic and cultural events that make up the Junior Orange Bowl International Youth Festival, which celebrated its 70th anniversary last year. The festival draws more than 7,500 youth participants to South Florida’s community each year.
“We truly look forward to the Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship every year,” said Bob Coman, Director of Golf, The Biltmore Hotel. “And even though we are in our 56th year as hosts, this year is truly special now that all of our hotel and golf course renovations have been completed, and we are entering a new decade. This year will mark the beginning of future generations of champion golfers and they are launching their careers here with us at The Biltmore.”
The Biltmore is on the heels of celebrating the completion of a $35-million property-wide renovation including to its 1925 Donald Ross-designed 18-hole, par-71 golf course. In January 2019, The Junior Orange Bowl International Golf Championship was the first tournament held on the revamped Biltmore layout. As one of only nine Donald Ross designed golf courses in the top-100 golf courses in the U.S., veteran golf course architect Brian Silva oversaw the restoration project; which included new Bermuda grass on tees, fairways & greens, incorporating new bunkers, enhancing both the short-game practice as well as range areas, establishing challenging signature holes, and extending the overall course length to more than 7,100 yards making it ideal for championship level play.
The Biltmore golf is open Monday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday to Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Please check golf course calendar for tee times as these times may vary based upon special events or maintenance.
